Apple’s Latest Generation Phones are here iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 plus. The iPhone 6 with 4.7 inches Display and iPhone 6 plus with 5.5 inches Display. Gone are the days of 3.5 inch and 4 inch phones that, at one time, seemed to provide more than ample amount of screen space. The market has changed, and it was high time Apple did the same. Apple has also announced iOS 8 and both of them come with iOS 8 out of the Box. Let’s take a look at iPhone 6 what has it got for us.
BUILD QUALITY AND DESIGN
The first thing you’ll notice about the iPhone 6 is the enlarged size that has gone from 4 inches of iPhone 5, 5c and 5s to 4.7 inches. With Aluminium cover body just like every year, however this year it’s thinner. The camera module sits above the whole body of the phone, which makes it prone to scratches, however it has got the sapphire lens, makes it really difficult to do so.
HARDWARE
iPhone 6 feature an A8 chip built on second-generation 64-bit desktop-class architecture. Its incredible power is enhanced by an M8 motion coprocessor that measures your activity from advanced sensors, including a new barometer and it is the first chip to include 2 billion transistors. The increase in the performance is based on a 1.4 GHz CPU and a Hexa core GPU. The front has a larger 4.7 inch Display which is an Apple iPhone First along with larger resolution of 1344 X 750 px(approx. 326 ppi), retaining Apple’s Retina Display. The battery is bigger on as needed with larger display with 1810 mAh, non – removable. The Device has got the 8 MP primary camera and 1.2 MP Secondary camera with improved lenses and sensor promise better image quality. Primary shooter is capable of shooting 1080p videos at 60 FPS (Frame per second), 720p Slo-mo videos at 240 FPS and Time lapse video as well. There is also a NFC chip included but only for payments what apple calls it “APPLE PAY” (not available in India). It has 3 different storage variants 16GB, 32 GB and 128 GB with three different colour options Silver, Gold and Space grey.
SOFTWARE
Apple’s Latest Mobile Operating System is iOS 8 which takes
a huge leap. iOS 8 has new capabilities and functions that lets you do things
you could only imagine before like using Siri to control the device in your
home or using your health and fitness apps to communicate with your Doctor. iOS
8 also takes good advantage of bigger display, widening side panels in
landscape and allowing you to use a zoomed in view for larger icons and text.
iOS 8 also uses Apple pay which may become the future of payments. Simple
things like reachability and the new improved keyboard only add to the
experience of the bigger screens.
